Saturday Live Baskets
Mrs. Brownson - our class rep will be sending home a note in the Tuesday folders this week. We will be doing 2 different baskets this year. Please donate to either the "Movie" basket or the "Art for Kids" basket.
The deadline to donate will be the 21st so we can put the basket together and have it on display in the school foyer.

There will be a math quiz this Thursday 9/9.

The quiz will be over math vocabulary words that were written in math notebooks last week. It will be a matching quiz. The term will need to be matched with the definition/example.

NWEA Testing
There will be NWEA testing next week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons next week. There will be a test for Reading, Language and Math.
These tests are simply to see where each child is currently at in each of the subject areas.

This first chapter in our math book is all about place value and money. We will be working on the following vocabulary words:
expanded form
standard form
word form
digits
value
place-value chart
period
rounding
decimal point
hundredth
tenth
Students have the definitions written in their math notebook and they also have a glossary at the back of their textbook.
****A letter went home in the "Tuesday folder" that gives you your child's username and password to access the math book online. There is a link in the top right corner of my blog to get to the web site.
